HOWe Things Are…

Trains… First, the Vatican (St Peters) was amazing! Incredible. Also, you can climb up to the top of the dome…  first, you climb to the base of the dome, where you’re super high up on the roof and you can go inside (like a birds eye view of the church). Then, these super narrow stairs…

Buses So very little adventure today…  didn’t make off with anyone’s keys, no two hour diversions looking for anything… My friends “work” at church and so had to be there something like two and a half hours before the service starts, so I got directions to take the bus to church. They said sometimes there…

Saturday, my friends had errands/work so my big plan was to get cash and then go see stuff. You’d think “get cash” would not be a two hour event. I went to the metro to see if they took credit cards (they do not at this station), then I briefly considered using my last euros…

As anticipated, taking a train through Switzerland was amazing. First, it just looked like Germany which is pretty and all… but then, the Alps showed up. Bern in Switzerland, looks like a fairytale. It was way cool. And the other people on the train were just sleeping and reading…  I kept wanting to poke someone…

On the train Let’s review. I was supposed to give the keys to my apartment in Germany to the person who took me to the train station. I got on the train, put my luggage away and then read the sign that said “car 5”. My ticket is car 4. Also when entering car 5,…

So yesterday at lunch… We’re talking about running…  because sometimes I get stuck on this as a topic… and someone suggests I should try running on a trail because there are pretty trails all around. This morning I found a trail… It was pretty but it was also like straight uphill… I kept thinking it…

Munich wins for having lots of stuff to see and do AND good signage, even if it’s in German, you see ausgang (exit) and eingeben (enter) enough times and drucken with dots on the u (push), you figure it out. And lots of bitte (please)… so lots to do, good signage, AND polite.
